A debate rages over the merits of full sized ink jet printers and their compact, thermal-dye counterparts. The debate is senseless due to the fact that both types of digital camera printers are outstanding in what they do. Full sized units that often combine the functions of scanning, copying, printing and faxing, have become a household item that, in many cases, sees use on a daily basis. With their size, these printers can accept full size sheets of photo paper and produce a nice quality print. Read More…

With the Canon G11 Powershot, Canon has updated their powershot lineup and the G11 is the cream of the crop as Canon’s flagship digital point and shoot. Standard features such as a 5x optical zoom lens, both RAW and JPEG shooting and and a nifty articulating LCD display make this digital camera a favorite for those that want the features of a higher end slr without the weight and size.
The biggest thing that the G11 camera offers that the SLR’s can’t touch at this point is both the size and feature set. Most slr digital cameras – if you can find one priced this low – are either last years models or stripped down beginner digital cameras and the canon G11 is anything but that.
The small size is the first thing you note when you pick up the G11 is how small it is and easy to carry with you at all times in a pocket or a purse. The second thing you notice is the articluating display that swivels out from the camera body up to 170 degrees and then flips around another 270 degrees. This works prety much the same as a digital camcorder might. To get an articluating display on a SLR camera you have to pay hundreds more.
Professionals and advanced amateurs will appreciate the ability to shoot in both RAW and JPEG formats that allow the photographer to choose between a format that offers maximum flexibility in post processing by shooting RAW, or thos that appreciate speedy shooting times and small file sizes for shooting in JPEG mode.
For indoor shooting, or shootin at night the Canon G11 has a low light and high ISO speed of ISO 3200 which is perfect for getting shots in dark places such as indoors or even outdoors at night. ISO 3200 means you can shoot at higher shutter speeds even when the light is low and you won’t get the dreaded camera shake which results in blurry photos. using the new digic iv processor results i noise free photos even at the high ISO speeds of 3200.
The optical zoom lens with built in image stabilization offer a wide angle of 28mm and telephoto length of 140mm. That’s a 5x optical zoom ratio that’s suitable for pretty much every scene you could ever come across from wide angle uses such as landscape photography to getting in tight on the action like wildlife or sports photography.
With a list price of $499, the Canon G11 offers a full feature set including full manual overide of automatic settings for the purists. The Canon G11 is usually discounted and can be found for less than list price with a bit of smart shopping.
Outdoor security cameras are a great thing to have installed on the outer surface of your business or home. However, before you decide to obtain one of these cameras for yourself, it is essential that you have an understanding of what features to look for when obtaining one of these cameras.

After years of using my trusty silver Canon Powershot camera, I realized the other day that it was time for a replacement. It wasn’t that my camera flat out stopped working, but it had started to become sluggish. I also recently learned that it wasn’t compatible with a newer form of high capacity memory card, which got me thinking about a replacement. Not really knowing what was out there, I hopped on the Internet and headed over to Amazon to search through the options. Simply entering the phrase “digital cameras” yielded me with more results than I ever expected to find. Amongst the search options, I noticed many different types of point-and-shoot cameras from a variety of well known companies, though one type of camera in particular stood out to me – the pink digital camera.
Pink digital cameras are a popular choice for several reasons. These brightly colored cameras allow their users to inject a bit of personality into their purchase. Pink is also quite popular among women due to its soft appearance. Apart from these obvious observations, most of the pink digital cameras on the market are highly capable devices, with features like image stabilization and facial recognition appearing as standard options on most cameras. In terms of cost, most cameras seem to be priced between $150.00 and $200.00, which is a steal when you consider just what you can get for that price. Some of the most notable features at this price range include the following –
• Facial recognition
• Image Stabilization
• Large, bright LCD screen
• High resolution (10-12MP)
• Reputable brands (Canon, Nikon, Samsung, and more)
As you can see, it doesn’t take much capital investment to get a highly capable and great looking camera. For more information on what’s out there, you can check out some of the large online retailers like Amazon. You can also head to your source on the web for pink digital cameras at Pink Digital Camera Review.
