In the Bar Industry, Cooler Drinks Make for Happier Customers

Jul.2,2010When you walk into a bar looking for a quick beer or drink, what is one of the most pleasing sensations that you are really looking forward to? Some would say that it is the ice cold temperature of the beer that goes a long way to providing the satisfaction that the end drinker experiences.
Large or small bar fridges are involved in chilling a beer or other drink to this prefect temperature, as everyone knows. Often not getting the credit they deserve in bars, these fridges go a long way in providing customers with exactly what they want.
These commercial bar refrigerators offer a lot more to bar owners than a conventional white fridge would. They are tougher and longer lasting those domestic models, and they have to be too, due to all the abuse they have to take on a busy bar night. If you have been out in a bar the last few weeks while the world cup was on then you would find it hard to disagree!
There are 2 variants of bar refrigerators on the market that most people would probably recognize if they were to see them: mini bar coolers and back bar fridges. Let’s start with the latter: A back bar fridge is the type that you would see in bars sitting right behind the bar for easy access for the bar staff. These can hold a lot of stuff, with at least 2-3 rows of upright beer bottles fitting in the upper shelves, and the bottom shelf can normally hold at least a few bottles of wine too.
In contrast, a mini bar fridge really does not hold much stuff at all. It is really aimed at very small boutique bars or residential use, with these types of fridges being especially popular with students since as we all know, they like to have their beer stash close by!
