Oval – An oval face has the most balance and equal proportion. Because of this, most frame shapes would look good, but the best may be that which is similar to the wideness of the forehead.
Oblong – This face shape requires frames that would lessen the emphasis on vertical length and focus on the center, thus making the face look a bit shorter. If you have this face shape, look for frames that have heavy decorations and a dark or deep shade.
Round – To create balance, you need something angular if this shape applies to your features. Square and rectangular but narrow frames are the best.
Square – Square-shaped faces also have wide jaw areas, therefore minimizing this would be best. Narrow frames would widen the area around the eyes, thus creating proportion.
Triangular – There are two sub-categories of the triangular face shape: Regular and Inverted. For the regular triangle shape, the forehead is broad and the area down to the chin becomes narrower. This just needs a contrasting frame shape and style, seen in wide rimmed frames and larger frame shapes. For the inverted triangle, the features are opposite the former.
