Dog coughing gagging can be caused by a minor thing like drinking water too fast, or it may be a sign of an existing serious problem of the heart or lungs. Those first 3 weeks were long, but fortunately I was able to take a week or so off from work and devote the necessary time to crate-train our new puppy. It was a pretty fast process. He seemed to like his new “den” and even went in willingly when I told him to go to bed. With patience, positive reinforcement, and a regular schedule, our puppy was house-trained in almost no time. Barking can be one of the most annoying things a dog can do. Especially if they bark consistently and at every little sound they hear.
