Do you really want to try an acting career? If so then get ready for countless auditions as well as sending lots of resumes to prospective employers. If you want to survive in this competitive industry, then you have to have the looks and the talent to show off and most of all you have to have a good resume to show of all your abilities to your future employers. An effective acting resume format should include the information described in this article and should follow the specific template that will be described.
Your name should be printed in capital letters and at the top. It needs to be at the center along with your body measurements (height, weight, chest, waist and hip measurement). Always update this information from time to time since producers and agencies expect you to fit this profile when they read it.
The next section is the most important part and that is your experience section which includes any films, theaters, commercials and television credits. If you have lots to list down then narrow it down to the most recent and the most notable of all to catch attention.
Write down too any special talents that you have be it singing, dancing or anything that you think is related to your field. You will never know, even how simple your talent is it might just be the one that they need.
When all of that is done then you print your resume in an 8 x 10 piece of paper and attached at the back of your headshot or you can print your resume on the same sheet as your headshot (the back part) if you have an inkjet printer. The format is just about the same when you make a modeling resume. You would simply modify the sections to reflect your own professional experiences. When all is done, then you are ready to send your resume to modeling or acting agencies for job placement.
